Okay, I am not expecting, nor are we TTC. I am obsessed with Baby Names though (hence I am the host of this board)....and we have four boys and four girls names picked out right now.
Now, for a little back story....DH's nephew's name is Houston and I have always loved the name Austin, and thought that it would be cute (if we have four boys) to name one Austin, so then we would have Austin and Houston. (BTW, we live in Texas). Do you think a child named Austin living in Texas (south of Houston) would get teased in school (if we send them to public school)???
But now, I am not so sure how well the name Austin is grabbing me. I thought up of a couple different names using another favorite name of mine (Caleb), but one uses a middle name picked out for one of the other boys names we have chosen (Michael).
As for the other choice, I feel really bad for liking. You see, it is DH's other nephews name(Mitchell). It is a family name on his side, so it might not be too bad, but what do you think? Is it a faux pas? Since my SIL used it six years ago, would it be bad for me to use six years from now (just a estimate)? Should I just stick to my original three ideas and find something different I like for the fourth one, or use the mn from my third name and find something else to go with the third fn?
AJ (age 7) & Katie (age 2.5) PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
