So I was looking at Celtic/Gaelic names and Cuyler caught my attention. I've loved Kylar for a long time but I really like it spelled like this, infact, I LOVE IT! The question is, is it easy to pronounce? And does it go well with Alexander? I just don't know if it flows...like ER ER ya know? We are using Alexander to honor DH's grandfather so that's staying!

Cuyler Alexander Kirstein

I think the spelling of Cuyler is really cute! I'm thinking you just pronounce it Ky-ler right? Cuyler Alexander sounds great~!

I think it's easy to pronounce. This is a cute name. My friend's brother is named Cuyler and she plans to name the next baby (if a boy) after him.

I think both Cuyler and Alexander are great names... but I just don't think they flow well together. What you could try to do is either (a) choose another FORM of Alexander, or (b ) add a second middle name between Cuyler and Alexander to break up the double "er" sound.

For another form of Alexander, you could try Alec. Cuyler Alec sounds really cool to me.

I like Kyler as well. I am sure that some people will become creative and try to pronounce Cuyler as Cool-yer or something. It is really cute though.

I like it! And I think it sounds fine with Alexander. :>) When I was PG with my son, I really liked the name Kyler, but my DH vetoed it, because his friend's son's name was Kaelin, and he thought it would be copying in a way. :>( I'm glad we went with Parker though, since it's a family name, and Kyler isn't.

Sorry to ramble.........I think its a great name choice! (I have a Feb baby too!)
