Thought that DH & I were set on names, but have changed our minds. Original choice for girl's name was Jessica Avery, but due to the popularity of the name Jessica, we've decided to try something else.
DH's late grandfather (whom he adored...) was named Julian. Since we already chose Bennett MacGuire for a boy's name (family names as well), we would like to use Julian for a girl. Here's our choices:
Yes, we were looking for a name that either sounded as close to Julian, or was spelled as similar as possible, without actually using Julian since that's normally considered a male's name.
I reminded my DH again about Julienne referring to finely sliced vegetables, and I think finally he realized what I was getting at as he said "I don't want a daughted that makes everyone think of vegetables!" - My thoughts exactly..... If that were the case we would name her Zucchini.
I'm sure that I won the "Juliana" struggle - and I absolutely love it, too! Thought about "Julianna", but am afraid that then it would be pronounced as Julie-AnnA, and I really like it the other way
