I agree with Allison-pick a name you love, call him by that name. But, could you talk to the birth mother and see if maybe Richard could be used as a mn? Or did you do that already? Good luck, and Congrats!!!

Okay, first of CONGRATS. So how about Richard Joseph (or some other J name )and call him "RJ", the only nick names I know for Richard are Rich (as the other poster mentioned) Ric and Dick. Ric isn't bad but please avoid Dick.

Yeah, not a fan of Richard either. I see your screen name is Robinson, is that your last name?

Rick isn't bad. And I agree, stay away from Dick. LOL. Rick Robinson isn't bad.

You could call him Richard Marx Robinson (If you love the 80's) .

I like the RJ idea too.
More ideas

Richard Allen Robinson

Richard Cole Robinson

Or if she'd let you switch, Dean Richard Robinson.

Richard Anthony Robinson Anthony is a favorite of mine.

No changing the first name. Robinson is my last name. And trust me I will never call him Dick.

Truth be told Ive only ever thought of girl names, and so has Hubby.

Thats why we are kinda lost.

Thanks for the help. At this time we love all the names, and we didnt think it would be so hard to even pick out 1 name.

I think Ricky is cute for a little boy and maybe Rick for an adult but if you aren't crazy about the name, I would pick a really great middle name so that way you can call him by that.
