hi ladies, I was wondering if I could get your honest opinion. We like unique names. I have a 5year old son Aiden James. (It was unique at the time!) For a girl's name we are considering

Adeline James
Clancy or Clancee James
Laurelie James (my first name is Laura)

James is my husbands first name and wanted to keep it the same even if we have a girl. Aiden would have been "Clancy" if he was a girl. It means red-headed warrior, and I have red hair. I thought maybe we could narrow it down to two. If the baby had red hair, we would then know. If not another name.
Thanks for your input!!

Adeline is very pretty. Is Laurelie supposed to be pronounced as Lorelei? If so, I like it, but only as Lorelei. If it's supposed to be pronounced laura-lee, then I don't really like it.

I only like Clancy for a boy.

I love adeline and Lorelei. Im not really a fan of having your kids with the same middle name. They need something to make them unique individuals.

Adeline is my favorite, its so pretty and unique. Love James as the middle name, its cool that it has a special meaning. My girls all have the same middle name, which is my middle name, my mothers middle name and my grandmothers middle name. This baby is a girl and will also have the same middle name. My girls LOVE it and they know it means something very special.

I agree with her....
Clancy is a surname, which I'm normally against as a first name, but it could work on a boy. Not a fan for a girl, though. If do use Clancy, please please don't spell it Clancee!

I love Adeline, I think it goes great with Aiden (which I also like). Have you thought of doing a female-verson of James? I don't know if this qualifies, but it is kinda similiar- using Jaime/Jamie maybe? I don't think it goes with any of your first names..but just thought I would throw it out there. Maybe make up a new special mn for a girl by using the letters in James., like Mae? ( I can't think of any others right now that use those 5 letters that don't sound reallly odd) Then your DH can still feel special knowing you starting with James as a base. Just some ideas! Good luck deciding!

I like Laurelie best, followed by Adeline. Dont care too much for Clancy, especially for a girl.

I like Adeline only and DO NOT like the James thing but hey it is different. And all that matters is that you like them. I do think that if you name a girl Adeline though it is very close to her brothers name and reminds me of the whole Patrick & Patricia thing they are just too close and you should give each child their own identity! Sorry just had to put in my two cents don't want to step on toes.
