DH is really liking Bo/Beaux, which i have always liked but all of a sudden he really likes. He is even calling him that (he never calls him anything but baby). Now assuming this is the name we go with we need a middle name. Probably one with at least 2 syllables. Our last name is Ballew, pronounced Bah - Lu if that helps. The only name i can think of is Lewis (DH grandfather) but so many people in DH's family have already used that so he is kinda turned off to it. TIA!!!
BTW - Opinions are welcome about the first name too
I think Beaux/Bo Ballew... sounds like... a cartoon name?? The names are fine separate, but together I just can't say it without laughing. If you choose to use that for the first name, I would definitely break it up with a strong middle name.
Its kinda funny cause every time i say it i can't help but think of Little Boy Blue, it just sounds so similar. I really like the name but maybe you girls are right about it sounding funny with our last name.
I really like the name Beaux.....but not with your last name You have a really cool last name and I think the first name you choose should be more in contrast. When I think about it, I am picturing a name ending in a strong "in, en, an" sound.
It's similiar to the dilemma we're having with picking a boy's name. We like Maxwell, but it sounds weird with our last name Walsh. You get 2 syllables back to back that are Well-Wall. But, we adore Max. So, we're more than likely going with a different long Max name.
