We will not know the sex of the baby officially until October 18th, but we still have names picked out for eith er sex.

We know for 100% sure that if it's a boy the name that we have picked is what his name will be, without a doubt.

As for a girl, we've had a name picked since high school that we liked but no everyone is making me second guess out decision when we share what the girl name is...

So here's my question...

Would you "classify" the name MICHAELA as a black girl's name? Everyone keeps telling me that is what they think of when they hear the name, ut I don't get that impression.

What do you think?

Just curious...

I went to HS with a girl named Michaela, and she was white. It is pretty sad that we associate names with the color of skin now. I think Michaela is a pretty name for any girl. If she looks like a Shaniqua when she is born, then give her that name. Who cares what color she is LOL!!!!

I know a couple of girls with the name Michaela. They are all white. But a name is not either a white or a black name, it is what you like.

I dont think it sounds like a "black" name. Honestly, the only girls I have ever met with that name have been white. Who cares what other people think anyway? you name her whatever YOU like! :-)
