I visited a friend on thanksgiving and he introduced me to his niece, Zoey. I didn't think anything of it until I thought he called her Sophia later on. He explained it's a family name.. her full name is Zophia Marie and Zoey for short..

It grew on me after meeting the little girl... WDYT?

It's a little bit trendy sounding for my taste personally but it's alright, I can see me liking it on other peoples children, just not something I would use myself

I like it. It's actually on my list for middle names, but spelled Zofia.

I've never heard it said that way before... I kind of like it One of my niece's is named Zoey also and it is a little on the "trendy" side like some people would say but it suits her so it's ok, though if you ask my SIL, she's the one that started the "Ava" & "Zoey" name trends cause according to her, no one in the world had those names before her daughters did

Zofia is a Polish version of Sophia. I wouldn't use it here, because people might think you deliberately changed it to make it trendy and different.

It's kinda cute but I wouldn't use it. People would probably mistake it too much for Sophia...

I think I prefer Sophia, but it's cute. I like Zoe a lot.

Personally, I like it.. I have a lot of friends having girls and thinking of the name Sophia so I thought it was getting a little old but Zophia is different and I like it. With what a few have said about Zophia so far.. I don't even want to know what they would think about my son's name LOL. I think you will always have people who do and who don't like it. As with any other name.

I've never heard of it, only Zofia. I agree it looks trendy in the U.S.
