I watched the Nanny Diaries the other night and this was the little boys name. I'm pretty sure it's spelled correctly. WDYT? Do you prefer Greer or Grayer?

DH and I picked this name for our future son. I love it! I didn't know it was in that movie, now I want to rent it!

I don't like it. Gray as a name is bad enough, Grayer is worse. Will people start using Grayest as a name after Gray and Grayer get old? I don't think any of the Gray names are attractive, anyway. Gray is a dull, ugly color.

The parents in the Nanny Diaries were supposed to be rich, trendy people, and I think the name Grayer was supposed to be a parody of the trendy, pretentious names that are popular now.

Any actual kid named Grayer will almost certainly get called Gayer in high school.

My last name is Gray so all of the Gray names are kinda odd to me

I really dislike Grayer unless his siblings are Blacker and Whiter

I definitely prefer Grayer to Greer. I like this name a lot, have since I first read the book a few years ago, but I don't think I'd ever use it.

Grayer sounds really weird. Like you're trying to explain a shade of gray... "No, it was Grayer than that.." lol. I agree that Gray just makes me think of the color, which is really ugly, plus the sound is ugly anyway. I also agree that Grayer would have easy teasing potential since it is one letter off from Gayer.

I will add that I adore the name Grae and actually read it here first from the above poster a few months ago (I believe). We plan on using it as a middle name
