Would you rather give all your kids a name with a different inital or would you rather give them all the same ? What about giving all the girls the same initial and the boys another?

What are your thoughts about this?

I'd be more likely to give each child a different initial, definetly not all the same. I think having a sibset like Devin, Darren and Drake (a sibset I saw on TV today) Is cute but a little cheesy IMHO

I really dislike it, but I dislike people that have 3 children all starting with a J and then have a fourth one starting with an A more. If you start a pattern- just finish it!

I picked out Dahlia Jane Aleksandra and Atticus Benjamin James when I first got pregnant. When I found out she was a girl- I changed Dahlia to Audrey (which I think fits her personality a lot better)and dropped Aleksandra. So now I'm bummed that I won't get to use Atticus. If I do and then have a 3rd child, I know I'll force myself into using another A, just for the sake of consistency.

I think it's a little odd to have an entire family that starts with the same letter, and I wouldn't do it myself. But ITA with Mel ... if you start a pattern, finish it. If your kids are Brenda and Brandon, don't name the third and last kid Kelly! That's just singling one out as being different.

I don't really think its a big deal. I tend to like alot of 'A' names for girls so if I find something I love that starts with an 'A' I would use it and not worry about them having the same initial.

I think as long as I like the name it doesn't matter because when choosing a name I take their initials into consideration as well.

It's not my style...I dislike everyone with the same initials...I plan on naming my children names we like but names that fit them too. (A few names on our list are the same letter, but we won't know till we meet/see our baby for the first time what we plan on naming them!)

I am just going to choose names I like and make sure the initials don't spell something weird.

It doesn't bother me either way. I come from a family of all "J" names. My two boys both have names that start with "L" but it wasn't planned that way, we just loved the names. I'm not going to rule any name I love out just because it happens to start with a certain letter. We're not done having kids but I don't like anymore "L" names so the next couple will start with different letters.

It's not something I give much thought to. I'll use names I like. Whether they end up starting with the same letter or not, I couldn't care less.

I'd never do this myself, but I know some people who have. One family had five children and they all had names that started with the letter A. Also a friend of mine has two children named Zachary Ryan and Zoe Renee..

My kids don't have the same initials but if they did it wouldn't bother me.
