It reminds me of Peyton Manning, and regardless of whether or not people use it for girls, it does not sound even a little bit feminine.

"Peyton Place" was the name of a book and a soap opera, and the phase has been used to mean a sordid place.

Between the associations and the sound, I just can't see why so many people find Peyton attractive. I don't think it sounds good on a boy, and definitely not on a girl.

I like the name Peyton a lot and think it does sound girly. I personally wouldn't use it, but I like it.

Thanks guys.
When my friend told me she was naming her baby girl Peyton i didn't think it was one bit attractive. I even called my mom to tell her about the ugly name my friend was going to name her baby girl.

Anyway i now know 3 little girls named Peyton all under the age of one. They are all so cute the name has really grown on me!!

I only think of Peyton Manning. He is not girly at all and I have a hard time seeing it on a girl.

I prefer it on a girl. Since seeing the movie'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle', I can only see it for a female.

Jess!!! I knew a lil girl named Peyton, she was about 5 or 6 and was a cheerleader. She was adorable and I loved her name!! (and of course there's Peyton on One Tree Hill ;-))
