Hello! Newbie over this way! I'm Kristin, married to Houston and mom to Haven Carter... we have our second (uncooperative) little surprise package on the way May of 2008...

We are pretty set on our "Girls name" option as a tribute to MIL who passed away at the end of Nov.... we combined her name (Kathleen / Kathi for short) and My mom's middle name Lynne (Jeannine is her first name ) to come up with:

Kailyn (3 letters from each gramma) Kathleen (pronounced KY lyn).. what do ya think?

BUT we're kinda stuck when it comes to boy names! My DH has a family tradition of following the HCN initials... it's gone on for generations! I tried to convince him after having our first BOY that that would carry the tradition on... he's bending a LITTLE and says if I can give him a GREAT option otherwise he'd go for it...but we need to atleast "explore" the HC options! *sigh* LOL

Our first son, as I mentioned, is Haven Carter... I STILL absolutely love the name...regardless of the "tradition" or no "tradition" I'm glad we chose it! I know we'd have to have a more "uncommon" name again for the two to flow together.... so was wondering if you guys have any suggestions or help in this area?! I want to LOVE the name...not just chose it because tradition dictates it! Ya know what I mean?

I also love the name Hudson! Kailyn is really cute! I really like the way that you pronounce it. I would've thought it was pronounced Kay-lynn, though.

Yeah I figure it will get mispronounced a lot... but I'm willing to fight for the meaning and combination behind it!

BTW Miracle you look like you walked out of Modern Bride in your siggy!! WOW!!
