I want to name my daughter/son after my mom and close friend. Not exactly after them but a name thats created from their names. The problem is as hard as Ive tried I cant come up with anything. Hopefully yall can help.

moms name- Robin Suzanne
friends name- Janice Faye

use my moms name as the babys first name and my friends name as the babys middle name
hope thats not too confusing

Well the first name that popped into my head was Ava..since a Robin is a type of bird and Ava comes from the latin word Avis meanign bird and possibly Anna/Anneliese/Annabelle using the "Ann" from Suzanne

For middle names I thought of Jane, Janet from Janice or Faith from Fayeso some combos:

Ava Jane
Ava Janet
Ava Faith
Anna Jane
Anna Faith
Anneliese Jane
Anneliese Janet
Anneliese Faith
Annabelle Jane
Annabelle Faith

Hope that helps

Okay, from Robin ... Robin was originally a nickname for Robert, so forms of Robert definitely work. And then of course robin is a bird, so other bird-related names work too.

Robert
Roberta
Robena
Rupert
Jay
Phoenix
Zipporah

From Suzanne you can get names related to Susan and also Anne. These will be feminine, of course.

Rose
Susanna(h)
Suzette
Susan
Anne/Ann/Anna
Hannah
Annabelle/Annabella
Anneliese
Rosanna

Janice is a longer form of Jane, so that gives you some related names. All forms of John, masculine and feminine, in any language would work.

John
Jane
Evan
Gianna
Giovanni
Ian
Ivan
Jack

There are a lot more if you search for forms of John! Try looking at Behind the Name ... search for John and then click on Related Names.

Welcome to the baby name boards!

You could always do names that have the initials of your moms/friends name like R J- Rhianna Joslynn or something like that?

A few more feminine forms of John:
Giovanna
Janet
Johanna
Joan
Joanna
Joanne
Jean
Jeanne
Jeannette
Siobhan

Bird names:
Paloma- means "dove" in Spanish
Linnet

Susanna/Susannah/Susan could all honor Suzanne.
