WDYT of Auberon (for a boy) ? I really like it but I think I'd only use it as a mn.

I like it a lot! It's a great name that isn't used very often.

It sounds like something from a fantasy novel, with that said I do think it is sort of cute.

I'm actually going to have to agree with the others when they say that it's awkward for them to say. I don't think I like it very much. I think Aubrey is better (for a boy).

It sounds to me like someone is mispronouncing Oberon (The fairy king from shakespeares play A midsummer nights dream) I prefer Aubrey for a boy but Auberon isn't too bad.

Oberon is actually a variant of Auberon. Shakespeare likes to shake it up, dontcha know?

Ah! I thought I would be posting it first! I was searching variations of Aine and history of the name, and she is a Irish Fairy Queen.. she is the counterpart to Oberon/Auberon and it just sparked for me that this name was prn that way.. I like Oberon much better and I"m a huge HUGE Shakespeare fan
