I really like the nickname "Allie" for a girl (can you tell I just read 'The Notebook' lol). However, I can only think of a handful of names that Allie could be short for, none of which I want to use...Allison is not really my style and Alexandra is already Olivia's middle name.

Can anyone think of any other names that Allie could be short for?

Also, I do like Alexia, Alexis and Alexa alot. Would any of those still be appropriate to use despite us already having used Alexandra in the family or would that be a no no?

Why not just name her Allie? Otherwise I like Alexis.

I'd say to just name her Allie if you really like it!

I have a little cousin named Allie Grace.

We just call her Allie. Her mother named her little sister Abigail Susan and we call her Abby!

Intresting story there.

I like Abilgail. But I am one for naming them one name and calling them the shorter version of that. Like calling them Gabby and Gabe.

IMO, it's fine to use the "Alex..." names since Alexandra is your other dd's middle name, not first. I personally like Alexis the best. Allie on it's own would my 1st choice though!

Some other names you could shorten to Allie:

Alayna
Alena
Alia
Alisa
Aliza

Good luck!

I know a few Allies. Their full names are Alexandria, Alyssa, Allison, Alanna and Alaina.
