What do you think of the names Raynie for a girl and Rohme or Rome (spelled different, pronounced the same) for a boy? I also can't decide what spelling I like more, Rainy, Rainey, Rainie, or Raynie. Please let me know your opinion! Thanks!!

I think Rainy (spelt this way) is a cute name, A book I recently read had a character named Rainy in it, Though I have to admit I prefer just Rayne with the nickname Raynie. Is Rohme pronounced like the city Rome? If it is I like it I also like Romany for a girl.

I was saying Rohme as "Romy".

I don't like either spellings, though.

Please if you use the name, spell it Rome. I agree with a PP that Raynie is more of a nickname. Rayne is much nicer. Rayne and Rome are nice enough, although a bit too matchy for my tastes.

I don't like Raynie (any spelling of this name), and even though I still don't like Rain/Raine, I think it would be a better choice that Raynie. Rome isn't a name that I'd ever use on a child, but I could see it working. Don't go with Rohme. For some reason when I see Rohme, I want to pronounce it like Roh-me, instead of Rome.

Raynie does not age well and doesnt fit on a girl over the age of 13. I cant imagine a professional 25 year old "Raynie"

Rome should be spelled Rome.. the h is completely useless and distracting

I like them both. I went to school with a Rainy. She was cute. She was born on a Rainy day in the middle of summer

I like Raine or Rayne with nn Rainey.

I like Roman better than Rome. I also pronounced Rohme like Ro-mee.

Me too.

And I agree about Rainy/Raynie not sounding good on an adult. Rain is okay, and Rainy could be a nickname. I don't like the spelling of Rayne at all.

the funny thing is, i actually prefer the name Romy to Rome
I like Rainey as a nn - but prefer Raina/Reyna/Rayna as a name.
