I'm new to this board and am pregnant with a baby boy due in May. My husband and I are having a VERY hard time picking out a name that we both like! We are both of Asian Indian descent but, have both been living here our whole lives and as a result, really don't like traditional Indian names... plus they are SO hard to pronounce! Talk about getting teased in school! So, we were kind of looking for an American name that had an Indian name in it. Kind of like a mix of both since that is pretty much what we are. The name that we came up with is Jayce (pronounced Jace). Jay is an indian name but, we wanted something a little more unique and different. Plus we know a billion Jays as it the only Indian name that also works as an American name. What do you guys think? Please, be honest!! I don't want to ask my family's opinions etc. because we want it to be a surprise at birth. But, at the same time, it's hard to pick a name without any input!! Thanks in advance!!
