Hi guys! I'm new to this site, but so far it seems like a great place!
My husband and I are expecting our first in August. We are of course already discussing names. I like names that are less popular and more unique. He doens't want our child to "stick out" because of its name. My name is spelled very different and I wouldn't wish that on my child, but I do like less popular names, but not weird ones. I hope I'm making sense!
Anway, he likes Carson for a boy, and I like it too, but I'm thinking its still too generic. What do you guys think?
Thanks for your opinions!
Thank you Sarah (doremi) for my WONDERFUL siggy!

I like Carson a lot, too. It's really nice, but it is on the top 100 list for 2006. Popular Baby Names If that bothers you, maybe you could just glance over the list and see if there are any other more unique names that you and your husband could both agree on.
I personally wouldnt call Carson a generic name. A generic name to me would be Chris, John, Dave, all very nice names but very popular names that are heard alot. I think if both you and your husband like the name then use it.

i know carson is in the top 100, but it is not at the very top or anything. i, personally, like the name. my co-worker had her son in november and that is his name. i think it is a good name. i also like carter.
