I don't like Cameron at all, Emerson is ok. People use them on both genders these days.

I like Emerson better but of the two, I think of Cameron as more of a girl's name.

I prefer Cameron for a boy, if your set on using it for a girl i think Camryn or Cameryn is slightly more feminine. Emerson is not really my style, sounds masculine to me.

I like both of these names! I do think of Cameron as more of a boys name, but it would be cute on a girl! I really like Emerson. If you wanted a really feminine NN for her you could call her Emery.

Emery is a boy's name and so are Cameron and Emerson. I like them for boys but definitely not for girls.

Both are all boy to me. Cameron (on a boy) is nice. Emerson, I don't like at all, especially on a girl.

Emerson is a last name that means "son of Emery." Emery is a masculine name, not a feminine nickname.

I think they both sound very masculine. The first time I met a girl Emerson, I though it was the weirdest thing and wondered why her parents had given her a boys' name. That was before I knew about the random-surnames-on-girls trend.

I like Camryn spelled this way because I think it's more girly. Emerson is cute, but nms.

I like them both, I love Campbell though and prefer that and I wouldn't use Emerson because it is like you are wanting to use Emma or Emily but are trying too hard.

I like Cameron a lot on both genders, but again w/ the unisex thing.. I just wouldn't use it. Not a fan of Emerson.

I think they're definently boy names and should be left to boys.

But that changes the pronunciation, not just the spelling, right? I don't pronounce "ryn" and "syn" the same as "ron" and "son."
