What does everyone think to Meadow-Lily? The hyphen is there because we'd call her Meadow-Lily.

Thanks!

I really don't like it. I find it the same as naming your child Heavenly-Angel, Summer-Rain, Winter-Snow, etc. Lily is cute on it's own, but not with meadow or any other nature/season/weather type of name.

I agree. Plus I find Meadow-Lily hard to say for some reason, it doesn't really sound good together. It's too hippyish for my taste.

I seem to like hippy names lol.

and I love the name Wynter but I guess it'd be weird to name a baby born in the summer, Wynter though, right?

I also love Heavenly but I think i'd use it for a middle name.

Lily is too popular for me to use as a first name, maybe just Meadow...Meadow Grace?

I don't think of meadow as a name, it is a word that makes me think of a big field of grass.

How about a longer name and you could use Lily as a nickname?

I have thought about that but then she'd still be Lily anyway and still get lost with all the just Lily's, I am thinking of just using it as a middle name and the only girl name we really agree on is Piper so Piper Lily maybe? or Piper Lily Grace.

Thanks!

I think you can use Meadow Lily as a name, I personally, just don't like the hyphen.

Meadow-Lily is a little bit hippyish, but otherwise it's okay. I like it better than Piper or Meadow Grace (because Grace is so common as a middle name, I just find it boring now).

I think Meadow is cute. Lily is cute too. I don't like them hypenated together it's hard to say and reminds me of Mary-weather. But I do like both the names.

Honestly I like Meadow-Lily in a guilty pleasure sort of way. I have tons of beyond-hippy GPs on my list such as Copperlily, Sweetbrier, and Poppymallow. I think it's a bit much as a real name, though - a bit too descriptive. There could be some potential for teasing. That said I do like it better than Piper Lily because with Piper I just think of great hairy Scotsmen. Lily Grace, while popular, would be charming and easier to carry through life than the other options.

I love Meadow and I love Lily. I think hyphenating it just puts it slightly over the line of obviousness. I would drop the hyphen and use Meadow Lily. You can still call her by both names, like Mary Ann.

I def. like Meadow Lily better than Piper Lily. I think Meadow and Lily are in the same name "family" (sweet, feminine, kind of hippie-ish) while Piper is in the tomboyish, trendier category.

Hippy names are kind of my weakness. My guilty pleasures. So on one hand I like it (though I agree with Kyle about the hyphoning), but on the other hand I agree with Orvokki about it being a little much. It's a little TOO hippyish to actually use IMO.

I think Lily Meadow might be better. Lily is a more accepted first name, but she's still got the funky super hippy middle name.

On a side note, Meadow makes me think of the Sims 2. (*sims 2 fanatic here*)

I wouldn't use Meadow as a first name, but it's a GP of mine, I love Lily, it's a beautiful name. I like it paired better w/ Piper though!

I like Meadow Lily. I'm not a fan of hyphens at all. I think it's interesting that everyone thinks it's hippyish. It makes me think of the Sopranos which is about the furthest you can get from free love and all. I think it's a nice name.
