Im planning to name my baby Adria, and pronounce it Aid-ree-ya, basically like Adrian without the n but when people see it in writing before I say it everyone keeps asking me if it is AD-ree-a, or if it is like Andrea. I thought the spelling made the pronounciation pretty clear, but should I change it, how would you pronounce Adria the first time you saw it in writing?

When I first saw it I said Ad-ree-uh.. sounding like odd. I'm not sure how would change the spelling other than Aidria but that looks weird to me.

I pronounce it Aid-ria. It's very pretty, I wouldn't change the spelling.

I havent a clue how its pronounced. The above pronounciations seem awkward to me. I wouldnt us it because you would forever be correcting people.

Aye-dria is what immediately popped into my head. I don't think you'd have too many problems.

Adria is very pretty! I would pronounce it Aid-ree-ya. I went to hs with a girl named Adria and she didn't seem to have trouble with prn at all.

I read it to be pronounced the way you sounded it out. I think it's pretty. It doesn't seem hard to me. And if you did have to correct someone, seems like it would be easy enough to remember after that one time.

My first thought was AID-ree-a. I thinks it's very pretty. It shouldn't be too confusing. I would keep it spelled the way you have it.
