Do you guys think of this as a more femine or masculine name. i suggested it to my sister and she ended up naming her son this but she says she gets alot of " oh i thought it was a girl name" comments so i just wanted to see what all of you thought about it

I've heard it for both. Rylan for a boy and Rylin for a girl. I prefer it for a boy, though.

I consider it more of a girls name - only because i've not heard of any male Rylans!

I definitely think it is a boys name. I like it, but not enough to use it (plus I'll never have a boy )

I also like it spelled Ryland.

I think of it as the feminine version or Ryan.

Boy. It's too close to Ryan, which is definitely a boy name.

Ryan does not have a feminine form.

How are Rylan and Ryland only different spellings? Aren't they pronounced differently, too? Or is the D at the end of Ryland not pronounced?

Actually, I used to know this girl named RyAnne. I always thought that was a feminine form of Ryan.

Anyway... Rylan... def. a boy name, IMO!!!!

I like Rylan on a girl but I can see how it could go either way.
