Not sure this is the right place to post...but not sure where else to post.

I went to my OBGYN in March (if I remember right) and he said that based on family history of "Female issues" or more less that a hyst might be in my future when we're done having kids. He said, that a D & C might work to clear up some of the issues I've been having but recommended going off all BC and go from there. I stoped the Nuva Ring in March - and my periods are still the same so significant improvement. In fact, slightly worse. It feels like my uterus just contracts and doesn't stop for hours, litterally. Clots, heavy bleeding the works. Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but has anyone ever tried this to relieve symptoms in order to avoid more radical treatements? I'm trying to hold out til August since that will be my next annual exam to see my OBGYN again.

That's the reason for my hyst, and even after the horrible complication (bladder injury), it was VERY MUCH worth it!!!

yeah, same here. I have alwways had BAD periods since i was a teen. After i had my tubes tied when #2 was a year old, and went off BC they got worse again (thanks to my thyroid) and i had an endometrial ablation a year before my hyst (but you cannot do an ablation if you are planning more kiddos)

KUP!!
