Okay, so I'm not sure if this is the right place but I can't find answers anywhere else. On Friday, August 14th I had a minor surgery to remove two spots on the inside of my vulvar. I had a biopsy to determine skin cancer a few weeks ago and it came back negative but the dr wanted to remove both questionable spots completely. Anyway, one is half way down, about a fingertip in the vagina, the other at the top right above the clitoris. So now I have stitches there.
Question. Since then, going to the bathroom has proved difficult as I can't fully clean. I have to basically pat myself dry down there. When I'm home, I use a water bottle and try to clean that way, as well as take a shower in the morning and evening. However, my dbf and I have noticed an incredible abundance of CM. Doesn't smell bad so I don't think it's leakage from the surgery and it's def CM from what we could tell. I can even feel/see it leak onto my underwear. Could this be because I'm not able to clean myself as I normally would, so I'm not getting all that stuff? It's white and dry when it reaches the outside of my vagina but when dbf has seen it inside, it's white and stretchy. I'm also having some lower stomach pains on and off and my lower back is aching. This isn't an infection is it?
I guess I should note I'm 25, never been pregnant. I'm on Yaz bcp, and I skipped my placebos to start an active pill on friday (14th) so I wouldn't have a period during this. I took the first one on friday and threw it up and missed the weekend because of being sick but resumed on Monday (can't have sex for more than two weeks so I'm not concerned and will use back up once stitches are removed until I start a new pack).
It sounds normal to me, especially if there is no smell. Remember that we are self-cleaning down there to an extent, and if you have incisions or anything then you might be having extra discharge because it is your body trying to stay clean as possible and flush out any possible contaminants. I've had a couple questionable parts of my cervix snipped out because of the possibility of cancer and I distinctly remember after having a lot more discharge. The doctor said it was normal and my body trying to heal and stay clean
If it starts to smell or has a color to it then I would think it could be an infection, but as you described it to me I don't think it is an infection.
That's such a relief to hear! Thank you for your reply. Although I know I can always ask my doctor, it tends to take a day and with so many intelligent/experienced women on JM, I was hoping someone would know. That makes a lot of sense now that I'm reading it. Thank you again!
