i have just been informed that my last pap was abnormal. i scheduled this pap after the doctor that removed my iud said something looked weird with my cervix. i was already pregnant when i had my iud removed. nothing has been diagnosed as cancer as of yet but i was told i have hpv something new this year as i get a pap every year. has anyone here had cervical cancer or Bad cells? what happened? is baby going to be ok?

I'm going to say it will be ok! I have a 5 week old baby boy!!! I found out 1/09 that I had abnormal cells... 2/10/09 I found out I was prego & had my colpo both that day... BIG BIG Shock... We were not trying to have a baby... My colpo showed what they call CIN2 precancer from my understanding. They did another colpo at 28 weeks just to make sure it had not changed & it hadn't!!! I go back in 12/09/09 for my 3rd colpo... I had no trouble with my pregnancy due to any of it. The procedure they to do get rid of it is not to bad from what I am told... My baby was a very healthy 6lb 7oz 20inch long ball of joy!! He is now 8lb 4 1/2 oz!! It does not harm the baby... I hope I have helped you in some way... If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them for you... I know it is scarey... I was a medical assistant before I had my baby & I have seen the procedures done and assisted with them... It will all be ok!!!
I had CIN3 back in 1995. I had cryotherapy to remove the abnormal cells and have had normal pap smears ever since. You haven't been dx with cancer, just abnormal cells, I'm sure it's fine to wait until the baby is born to take care of it. I also had HPV but haven't seen it since then either.
