I've been having 14 day periods since my dd was 1 year old. They tried everything and could not find a cause for them. We decided to have one more baby and then get it fixed. SO I went in today and had it done. They did a tubal ligation, D&C, Novasure Ablation and a hysteroscope test.

Everything went great! If the ablation does not work I will go back in and have my uterus removed. My crappy doc and insurance wanted me to try the ablation before a partial hysterectomy. I'm really hoping for relief. I'll let you all know how my results are.

Wow that sounds like a lot. I hope all goes well and you feel better. Drs never do what you wish they would do huh?

That does sound like a lot...and seeing as I've been experiencing the 14 day periods myself since 04 I think I need to bring this up to my doc as something to look into.

If you're done having kids I'd look into it! I'm now 1 week post op and I've had NO PAIN AT ALL. That was a lot to have done at one time but I really was back up and going the next morning like I had never had anything done. Now I'm just waiting to see if the ablation will work for me.
