Hi all! I have been smoking almost non stop since i was 13 (i'm 34 now)..pretty much smoked thru my whole last pregnancy, stopped for 5 mos after i had him but went right back to it..i'm due 11/9 and saw my baby's heartbeat yesterday in an u/s and just decided that's it..i can't have my baby breathe all that in! So far i just get little cravings here and there but i'm trying to keep busy and not think about it..i know it gets easier..i had to quit drinking not to long ago and i did it so i know this can be done too..nice to meet you all

Brenda, how is it going so far? I know it must be nerve wrecking..

Well I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant, and I been extra upset, with all the BFN's and been smoking more.. I am thinking about buying the patches this weekend and trying those. maybe God will let me get pregnant after I quit.

Any advice for me?

It's going great! I keep digging for cig butts everywhere but can't find any so now all i do is pig out..lol

The thing about smoking is that you really have to want to stop..not just stop because you have to..if you really want to you have a better chance to be successful..this is the first time i really want to stop and so far it's working out! I have a cute ticker showing me how much money i've saved..that helps a lot too
