Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has ever experience retained tissue and blood clots in uterus postpartum. I delivered over 2 weeks ago vaginal delivery and haven't felt right since. ie fever chills sweating dizziness and abdominal pain. I went to the er a week ago and was told i have a uti and they gave me an antibiotic and sent me home. Still running fever a week later I went back to the er today and urine was clear. I went through several test and hours later they determined I have leftover tissue and blood clots in my uterus. I never went through any of this with my first pregnancy. They gave me Methergine to take for the next 3 days to try and pass the clots naturally and sent me home. I have a follow up on Tuesday and if I haven't passed them I will have to have a D&C.
If anyone has any info on this kind of situation I would love to hear. I'm nervous that i won't pass the clots and have no idea what to really expect.
Thanks
