I'm 9 weeks PP and since giving birth i have had one period and it was normal and lasted about four days. The next period I had I started birth control again (loestrin 24) and it has llasted three weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? If so did you find out what it was?
Also my fiance and i had unprotected intercourse while I was bleedingg last week. Could i get pregnant again even though I was on my period and still am?

It's normal for your first post partum period to be heavier than normal, but 3 weeks is too much. However, was that 3 weeks of actual flow - or 3 weeks with a lot of spotting? If flow, you need to see a doctor. That's not normal. If spotting, that's probably just from the Loestrin. Irregular and prolonged spotting is a common side effect.

It is possible to conceive on Loestrin, also possible to conceive while bleeding. However, the hormones in the Loestrin are supposed to keep the lining of your uterus to thin to allow implantation to occur, just in case conception occurs. If it does, the embryo is not supposed to survive longer than 7-10 days after conception.

Oh alright. Yeah it has been a steady flow. No spotting at all. I had a regular period at 6 weeks pp then didn't bleed for a week and then started again. Not ridiculously heavy but like a period flow.
