No matter how much I drink, I always seem to get dehydrated during my pregnancy. I have never been a person that drinks much of anything. I mean, I like juice, milk, things like that, but I never drink more than 2 glasses a day. I know that if you are thirsty you are dehydrated, but I hardly ever get thirsty. If I force myself to drink something if I am not thirsty, I get queasy. I am usually hospitilized at least 2x during my pregnancy for severe dehydration, but there is not much I can do about it. Any ideas of what I can do to stay hydrated? Do you have this problem too? Any help appreciated. Thanx!!
Dehydration could be very serious, especiallly when your pg (of course, you know that) so you should force yourself to drink water or flavored water. You could eat more soup or juicy fruits (like watermelon for example). Do what ever you can to get the fluids that your baby needs.
Btw, thirst is a symptom of dehydration but it usually doesn't set in until you are getting to a potentially harmful degree so don't just go by thirst.
