I quit smoking about 3 weeks ago.

I did it cold turkey, it sucked and the flu feeling only lasted a few days and i sucked it up and dealt with the gross feeling.

My motivation is that me and DF want a baby

I quit smoking. I wanted to anyway, but could never find the motivation even though I figured it would kill me in the end. Then in June I found out I was preggo and that was the motivation I needed. I finished my pack the night I found out and went cold turkey. I did give in 4 times (4 cigs) in the beginning, but I have been smoke free since! Yay!

I find that if you want something bad enough, its the extra boost you need

i smoked ciggarettes, and i quit cold turkey. i couldn't smoke once i moved out here with soon-2-be dh and so i smoked my last ciggy the day of my flight and never touched another one again. it really CAN be that easy, it's just finding a good enough reason and being strong willed about it.

i really do hope and encourage everyone who smokes to kick it cause it's soo yucky and you will see that and smell that after stopping. it's a great change

I quit smoking with the help of morning sickness. I did a pregnancy test (unplanned pregnancy) had a ciagarette and then quit.

The constant throwing up and the guilt i felt made it easy.

That hardest thing is self harm, I have not totaly given up I dont cut myself anymore cause of the guilt when i think about the baby inside me. But i do some things that I know i shouldnt still.

Hey all: Habit: CIGARETTES! Loved em. Quit cold turkey today.

I just had my first day of being nicotine-free! I have an 18-month-old son named Joe (yep... I smoked through the pregnancy), and now I'm prego again, and this time, I GET IT. I know how much we LOVE our children. I don't think I understood it the first time. I hate to admit it, but I just didn't know how much I would LOVE, adore, and cherish my son.

Anywho, I just set the date, gave myself a couple weeks to think about the benefits, and did it cold turkey. Still feeling yicky, it's only been one day. Hope to feel better soon.

I quit smoking after having Reagan (should have quit when my Mom died of cancer not totally unrelated to smoking). It's been a year now.

How? I had my second c section, and I couldn't smoke and take the pain pills I needed and nurse. I just quit.

Are there days I want to mug someone for a cigarrette? Oh, yeah. But. my clothes don't smell, my new van doesn't smell, my kids aren't coughing. I am done.
