If your menstral comes late, do you expect to get it the next month on the "normal" expected date or do you go 30 days from the "late" date? I don't know when to expect this darn thing
I was supposed to get it 7/20...never showed till 8/7 & spotted for a few days. Am I late again or do I wait till the week of 9/7?[/b]
Menstration occurs 11-16 following ovulation, so if you are keeping track of when you ovulate - you will always know if menstration is going to be early or late. You can just rely on your regular luteal phase to know when menstration will begin (the number of days from ovulation to menstration). Luteal phases vary from woman to woman, but are usually consistent from cycle to cycle in the SAME woman.
If you are always *very* regular, your period will come a month after the last one. But, every woman is bound to ovulate early or late from time to time, which will affect when menstration occurs.
