Let me preface this by saying that I was on Kefflex about 3 weeks ago for a pilonidal cyst. I've never gotten a YI from antibiotics before, but I know a lot of people do.

This will be the 2nd YI since I've been pregnant. I'm wondering how common this is. COuld it be residual from the antibiotics?

It's summer, I'm huge, and things aren't exactly 'dry' down there (sorry TMI). Heck, I sweat just standing in one place! Could any of these things contribute to these YI's?

All of those things could contribute to a YI, and yes they are common during pregnancy. You can buy monistat over the counter and use that, it should take care of it. After having sex you should also try to urinate that can help rid some bacteria, but if it is caused from the antibiotics then there really isn't much you can do, just try to treat it, if you think the monistat doesn't work, I would call your ob/gyn and see what they suggest! Good luck!

Ditto what she said. They're very common during pg. Ask your ob which otc med she recommends. Some prefer the 7 day cream during pg because it seems to work better than the shorter treatments.

I had problems with them when I was pregnant too. My doc. recommended using the 7 day treatment because the 1 day and 3 day contained more medicine than the 7 day.
