Hmm.. I think there should be a few stickies in this board, but that's not my decision.
I was wondering if anyone has Endometriosis? I'm being tested for it this month or early next month, and I have the craziest "symptoms" that I was wondering if anyone else had them. I haven't heard of anyone else having Endometriosis on this board or heard of anyone but one other person being tested for it.
Anyhow, if anyone has it or has had it in the past, I would like to hear what your symptoms were and what and how the testing and treatment for it went.
They have thought I had it, but BC pills kept my symptoms under control so I was never officially diagnosed or tested for it. My symptoms were:
1) Extreme abdominal pain about a week before my period (the timing varied bc I was SO irregular)--I would be doubled over
2) Very irregular periods
3) Serious cramping and bloating during
(It's been so long, it's hard to remember any others, but those were definitely the main ones.)
I have Endo. i was diagnoised with it about a year ago. I had very bad cramps and my periods are irregular. I have bowel problems so my doctor thought maybe i had endometriosis growing on my intestines so thats why i had the surgery. Turns out it was not what was giving me bowel problems but i do have it.

I have Endo and was officially dx with it 6 years ago. I had horrible cramps to the point where I would throw up, pass out and not be able to move because the pain was so bad. I had to drop out of university in 1996 due to my poor attendance in lectures and not being able to keep up with my studies. They tried BCP but I can't take them due to blood clotting issues. Pain killers just made me loopy and one doctor said I was too young for Endo and said it was all in my head (I was 19 at the time).
When I was 23 I had surgery in 2000 and the endo was lasered off of my intestines, my bowels, my appendix, and my lower spine. Last Oct when I had my ectopic they removed more endo that had grown back since my last surgery.
As for testing, there's no real tests for it and the only way you can be dx is with laproscopic surgery. Nothing showed up on my u/s or MRI's. Good luck with finding out what's going on. It's gotten better since my surgery but every 5 years I need to go for "house cleaning" since it can grow back.
I'm fortunate in that it hasn't affected my fertility, and hasn't caused any scar tissue with my reproductive organs. Yet it can reak havoc from many women.
Hmm.. Well, I had horrible cramps where I would get sick and be down in bed, and have to stay home once a month from school.
I started keeping track of my cycles a couple of years ago and the longest i went WITHOUT a period was 32 days.. and I wasn't pregnant. And then I had a regular period, and 9 days later, I had ANOTHER regular period!
NOW, since I've had Tyler (by C section) my periods are worse where I'm taking everything for about a week.. Oxycodone, Vicodin, and Hydrocodone. The pain is so bad that I can't Not take anything for it. Tylenol and Ibuprofen and Diuretics do nothing.
And the first one before I got my IUD in, was horrible.. and they're still horrible. They last 6-10 days also.
And the only other "Symptom" i think I have is at least once a week I'll have bleeding or I'll have discharge that's like light pink or light-dark brown.
