1st question: Is it normal to sweat easier in the vaginal area while pregnant?

2nd question: I've been getting these REALLY bad pains on the right side of my back where my kidney is. The pains started before I got pregnant and now that I am pregnant, they're worse. Sometimes they get to the point where I can't sit, stand, or walk without screaming and the pains will wake me up in the middle of the night. The ONLY thing that gets rid of them is a muscle relaxor (Flexeril). When the pain is that severe, it'll wrap around to the front of my U.R. Torso.

They started with my first UTI, continued through my second UTI, and through my Kidney Infection. I took all of the meds prescribed to me when I had those infections and they went away but the pain is still there.

My OB says that it's normal for me to have those pains and even did a urinalysis to check for an infection that came out negative, but something is telling me that there's something seriously wrong.

I was told earlier today to get a second opinion from another doctor. Is there anything else that I can do? Do you have an idea as to what's going on?

I had something similar--it kept happening at night especially and I had a history of kidney stones so I went straight to the OB. They ruled out kidney/bladder issues and said it was normal pregnancy pains from the stretching of the ligaments/musculature (they gave me an exact name, but I can't remember). Keep an eye on it and if it continues--I would get it checked again!

I will definitly. The pain started to come on again while I was at work. That's one of THE worst times for me to get it.

I've been to the ER for it many times and every time they say "it's just muscular/skeletal". One time, as the doctor was leaving my little "room" he asked if I wanted a shot for the pain. It was rather random. I said "yes" not knowing that it was going to be in my back. That stupid thing tickled and made my leg numb.

When i was 5 months pg i went to my OB because i felt sick in general and i was having extreme pain in my back. they checked my urine and said i had an infection and gave me antibiotics. in the next few days it got worse and i went back. they told me that it was just pregnancy pains and gave me a muscle relaxer. i never took it. i knew it was not a muscle thing. i currently have my 5th kidney infection since january. my dr is not taking it very seriously and i am in a lot of pain. the second one right after the birth of my daughter i ended up in the er very very sick!! if you feel that something is wrong get another opinion. see a specialist. my uncle that is a dr told me to see a friend of his that is a urologist. he thinks something is definatly wrong. dont hesitate. sometimes your drs think your over reacting but nobody knows your body like you!! if you feels somethings wrong, get it checked!!

A lot of it could be pregnancy pains. I know with all my pregnancies I was in a lot of pain with the stretching and pulling. If you still don't feel comfrotable I would get a second opinion, just to put your mind at ease...

good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
