I was searching through the forums earlier and I had a few questions.
My period started this Tuesday after two days of being late. I was concerned I could have possibly been pregnant, but I held off getting a test just in case af did come. Before my period I was getting a thick white discharge, different from what I usually get..and overall I was just really wet. A week before my period I kept feeling really wet and I thought I got my period early, but whenever I went to the bathroom, I'd just see the white discharge. Last Saturday I felt a little cramping and some wetness, so I checked, and all I saw was the discharge. This is definitely out of the norm for me, but may actually be very normal.
Well, when af did come I was a little concerned. I woke up to cramping during the night, but nothing too bad. I took some Advil for the cramping when I woke up and went about my day. When I went to the bathroom a few times throughout the day I noticed there were just clots on my pad. For the first day it didn't seem like a normal period of mine, usually I never get clots. Near the end of the day it seemed I was actually starting to bleed, but I'd still have a lot of clots.
Yesterday my period lightened and there were barely any clots or bleeding. Today I haven't had any bleeding.
So, in total my period this month was only about two days. I was just wondering if this seems normal, and that it just frightened me because I'm not used to having clots.
I would take a HPT anyway. It's possible you've got some sort of infection or have had an early miscarriage (which might give you a BFN result). I had the thick discharge with my yeast infections (my first was like cottage cheese! ), and had a lot of clotting with miscarriages. Call your ob/gyn to see if she wants you to come in. Never hurts to check, but it might hurt NOT to. Have you had any fever?
Thanks so much for your reply.
I was considering taking a HPT anway, just to be sure. And the white discharge reminded me of discharge I'd usually get but thicker. Honestly, it reminded me of cum. o.o
I haven't had a fever, thankfully. I'll give her a call tomorrow, but since I'm stuck at college w/o a car (saves money not to bring my car), I'll most likely have to go to our campus clinic/hospital.
I'll update this thread once I find out anything else.
I remember those days! My college clinic diagnosed my first yeast infection. I waited forever to go in because I was 19 and scared out of my mind. My mom never told me anything... I had to learn it on my own.
