I figure if I post them the evening before I stand more chance of keeping up!

In our current state of human development it remains unclear whether we will correct one of life's greatest tragedies, namely, the inability to appreciate a blessing until it is lost.
~ Shmuley Boteach

Has there ever been something or someone in your life that you feel you didn't appreciate enough at the time, and if so, what did/can you learn from the experience?

I know I didn't appreciate my health enough. But I don't think anyone can until they come to a point where it's not what it used to be.

I don't think I have appreciated the Earth enough throughout my lifetime... the essence of nature and what it means to humans has been lost thru manufacturing materialism and the corporate greed that runs our governments.
I am trying my best to remedy this at a personal level for now, I'm growing a vegetable garden this spring and hope to continue taking the time to just be in nature and try to really understand that our relationship with our Earth is more important than a false relationship with an economy which enslaves us all. I will also make sure my children are aware of the importance of "going green" and try to instill as much aparigraha as I can.
Great question Sharron xoxoxox
