im sorry i havent really been posting much but i have been pretty busy here and had a lot going on in my head but to top things off kara had her second lot of injections yesterday and the health visitor (not mine) made me feel pretty rubbish about my ability as a mum again.
i dont feel quite as bad about it today because i know she wasnt listening to what i said but i wont feel settled about this until i see my own health visitor next week.

here is a link to my post about it if you want to read

I swear honey health visitors are jumped up little nobodies on the whole (I'm sure there are HVs who aren't but most of the ones I've dealt with are) - they think they're social workers/teachers/nurses when in reality they pretty much work from tick lists, which is ridiculous considering children aren't robots.

I know exactly what you mean because I've been made to feel exactly the same way by the one that dealt with Daniel and reckons he has learning difficulties. She also didn't have ANY diplomacy skills or tact about her at all. And this one you're unfortunately having to deal with right now sounds the same.

How dare they accuse you of anything. You're a fantastic mother xxx

I'm so sorry that the HV made you feel like that Sarah! Kara is perfectly fine in my book! I wonder what your HV would say about my Bryce since he's only 24 lbs. at almost 2 years old. You are a wonderful mother and she can just shut her mouth! HUGS!

Those know it all, judgmental, list checking cows needs to stop putting you and Sharron through all that bs! Sarah, you and Sharron are the most fantastic mothers that I know.Don't let those ppl even make you think otherwise! Kara does not look underweight at all, She looks great hun! Does the HV not know that after birth a baby WILL drop some weight and start regaining it at a later date? Are they that freaking stupid? Here when Dalton & Cheyenne were babies they didn't think they weighed enough either, so they told me to force feed them. I did it once with Dalton and he threw up all over me.. His stomach was NOT ready for what they told me to do (I was 19 with no baby experience) and I NEVER done that since.

They really need to stop going by the guidelines and list checking, they should learn that NOT all children are the same. Some grow at a faster rate than others. That does not mean anything is wrong with your child. Even Madison didn't like belly time, some do and some don't. Great big

Bloody hell, what on earth? Why would anyone lie about what their child eats? You are a fab mum, watching you with Sadie and Kara is incredible! You are a BORN mother. Kara is a tiny little lass, I bet she always will be, not because of you and anything your doing but because she is just a diddy little thing. She is a happy little lady and she guzzled the bottle mark gave her outside nero! I want more Kara cuddles

thanks girls.

i spoke to a lady today who had her baby boy a couple of days before i had kara (we also have boys in the same class! hehe) but we had a nice long chat and it seems the health visitor i saw yesterday isnt a health visitor at all, she is a child doctor! that just makes things worse in my book!
anyway after chatting to her i felt a little better because she has been told the same by this "woman" about her little boy. most of the other children born around the same time are sleeping through, gaining huge amounts of weight etc but they all still look TINY and are not on solids.
our little ones are identical in build (bruisers!) lol but weigh almost the same. hers has been on solids for less time than kara but seems to be gaining less since then but stays awake more playing and "singing" and most certainly does not sleep through the night! apparently our own health visitor does not see a problem though as he is still on the same line he was at birth (just as kara is!)

so after all that we decided that we are not going to worry about it, we will laugh and remember the times we could get some sleep and how boring it was because 1 smile from our babies is worth a million sleepless nights and we will continue to do what we know our babies are happy with even if that stupid witch isnt as well as refusing to see anyone but our own doc or health visitor cos they have been there from the start and know us and our cercumstances

i know it sounds bad but it was a huge relief to know i wasnt the only one suffering like this and she felt it too cos she felt "the witch" must have been right because everyone elses babies were different from hers. well not anymore girl, we will be outsiders with odd kids together!!!
