Yesterday, a very close friend(and neighbor)s wife tried to take her life. While at the hospital, she had a seizure and was put on a respirator. She woke up this morning and is finally breathing on her own and the tests and scans have come back clean so things are looking up. He would just crumble without her... I dont know what to do, or what I can do, other than being here. I have never been this close to a scenario like this. Please, please send any positive thoughts and prayers to her and her hubby. Thank you so much ladies.

Thinking of them!! Suicide is a tough situation for all involved. Lost an uncle to that back in 1991.

Thank you all. She is doing well, physically, which is amazing for what her little body just went through. Unfortunately she has been here before but not for years, not since I or her husband have known her. And this was different. More than a cry for help, but a very real attempt. The dr said if she had gotten there 3 minutes later, she would not have made it. She has had a bumpy emotional past and we all thought she was truly in a good place. About a year and a half ago, she was in a car accident, hurt her back, had surgery which messed her back up even worse leaving her with nerve damage and chronic pain, frequently needing to use a wheelchair. I am afraid it was a real factor. She lost her job last year due to not being able to keep up physically. She started to go back to school in the fall and we all thought things were going well.
I so appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Last night when I was visiting with her husband he commented on feeling the positive energy and love and that they are what pulled her through, a big thing to come from him. Thank you for helping contribute to that. I know you are some powerful ladies and I am grateful for each of you thinking of them.
