February Prayer & Devotion Group Thread

Welcome to the February prayer & devotion group thread.

Participants, please add to this thread anyone or anything you will be praying for, and I will add it to the list up here in post 1, then we can all put all of them in our prayer & devotion journal.

Please also post about any particular area of your life you'd like to do a devotion for this month, or any particular angel, guide, saint or ascended master you might like to work with, so we can share suitable prayers, fiats, decrees or affirmations you may want to use.

FEBRUARY PRAYER LIST

- For the recovery of Ashleigh's friend and help for her family (Shades of Grey)
- And for strength, love and light for Ashleigh at this time for all she needs
- For Jackie for healing after the sad loss of her mom (NatureLovinMama)
- For Jen for healing and for her long-awaited healthy pregnancy and baby (JenJen)
- For Augie for healing and for her long-awaited healthy pregnancy and baby (Augie)
- For health, happiness and guidance from the Divine for all the GS and PL ladies; for an abundance of blessings in all their lives, whatever their needs
- For thanks for all the support and love given by the GS soul sisters
- For healing and justice for Shaun, his daughter and all concerned regarding custody issues

I've really been working with my root chakra and aura lately. Doing a different type of shielding method that projects positive energy at the same time. I'll use this time to send energy as well. If it works, I'll post the new method I'm doing

I pray for all my GS friends and sisters and send the thanks for always being there as a support for me.

I pray that my babies stay cooking for another while.

I've added yours Rebecca. I'm going to copy these into my journal later, and find some devotions, and I'll share my devotions on here.

For anyone who's joining in and saying these prayers, I will just say if you add a devotional (ie a set prayer to God/Jesus or an angel, saint or ascended master) it will bring power to the prayers, on account of a prayer whose words have been spoken time and again having added power. That's why this is the "prayer and devotion group". Later I will add some popular set prayers you could use if you're not inspired to work with a particular higher being this month.

Ugh, I am useless with a capital U. I still haven't copied all these out yet! Though have been clicking on and praying for the people in the list. I also still haven't found a devotion for Arch. Chamuel or Jesus, so think I am going to work with them in March instead!

Anyone else managed to set up their journal yet? Who's been saying the prayers? Anyone on the list, any changes/shifts apparent yet?

I thought this might be a useful technique for people to try if they haven't yet started up any devotions (this week's 2012 activity but equally good for this):

Prayer Ripples

This is a suggested structure for prayer recommended by such spiritual authors as James Redfield (The Celestine Prophecy etc). Its power derives not from set words but from the fact that the protagonist is sending love through their prayer to others in the world.

When you pray, let your prayer have 3 ripples.

The first ripple should be about yourself. Ask for help with one thing you need help with yourself. Feel free to elaborate but try to stick to one request at once. (Clearly in times of crisis this may not be possible). Balancing it with a "thankyou" for a previously answered prayer or surprise blessing, however small, will be even more powerful.

The second ripple should be about your loved ones - your friends and family. This could either be specific requests for specific people - as many different people as you like - or a general prayer for strength, hope, peace, comfort etc for everyone you love. Again it is good to include "thankyous" for any previously answered prayers on their behalf.

The third ripple should be about the world - people you don't necessarily know. This could either be a prayer for help for a specific situation, such as people involved in a natural disaster, accident, famine, war, or living in the third world; or it could be a general prayer, for example for world peace, earth healing, hope or evolution for all mankind. "Thankyous" may not be relevant here but can be included if there is genuine reason to.

Compounding all of this with a set prayer such as the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, the Prayer of St Francis or the Serenity Prayer adds even more power to your prayerfulness since the set words which have been repeated by many people before you already hold a "charge". However this is optional.
