I went into a shop in the city a couple of weeks ago that i recently found out sell incense and oils and other spirituality items. I asked the lady for some sage incense, but she had none. She did however have Clary sage oil and when i asked if this was still good for cleansing she said yes. I am just wondering do any of you know if she is right, is clary sage the same as regular sage for cleansing. I have to say, it smells georgeous.

It can boost positivity and harmony and help ease anxiety, stress and depression, so in that sense, yes, it does have a sort of cleansing effect. It is slightly different to regular sage though and I would say if you can get some regular sage at some point (usually in the form of a smudge stick) you may well find it more powerful. You could team burning the clary sage oil with placing four clear quartz points at each corner of your house to form a cleansing, protecting grid to add power. Incidentally, you can use pretty much any incense around the house to cleanse to some extent.

Pretty much every oil/herb has the same basic properties with some minor alterations here or there.

Clary sage is the oil I use when doing magic and divination, as it helps connect w/ the third eye chakra and spirits.

Thank you guys, Sharron i have noticed an improvement in my anxiety over the past few weeks and only yesterday my meds for the post natal depression were reduced, so i wonder has it had any thing to do with burning this oil, as im burning it on a daily basis.

I don't know but I'd keep burning it if there's a possibility it's having a positive effect!

Sharron, it i get the clear quartz points, where do i place them and do i place them facing the next corner of the house or poing to the centre of the house? Also i have a two story house, would i have them upstairs or downstairs, i currently have rose quartz in each corner of the house downstairs.
