Posting separately, as yesterday's post ended up so long!

Well first and most importantly, everything's essentially fine with me and baby. Baby is still head down and now in the pelvic region but not yet engaged, and its HR and measurements are perfect. My BP was slightly low but nothing worrying, and urine was fine.

Both MW and doctor think the exhaustion/headache/dizziness/light-headedness/shakiness I'm experiencing is likely due to the anaemia (though I did explain we've had a bug going around with similar symptoms as well) so my iron dosage has been slightly upped, though doctor warned that if my upset stomach gets any worse I'll have to drop it back down as not tolerating the iron could be the cause.

Both MW and doctor felt it was time for me to stop working and get some rest so I have my sick note.

I called the head and told her and she sounded ok actually, there's a supply teacher in with my class who taught the parallel class a few weeks ago and I know he is great so that's one less worry. I'm going in first thing Friday (if I'm not in labour) to say bye to the kids, give them an end of year gift and hand in my sick note.

Surprised the baby's head isn't engaged after the feelings I've been getting - though MW did warn that that doesn't mean much and it doesn't always get engaged until you go into labour (which was certainly true of my son) - so maybe my intuition of this weekend is "off". That would be sort of nice in order to feel properly rested before labour begins because I know from previous weekends that a few days off just isn't cutting it. However MW did say the head was low and in the pelvic region, and that I'm likely not to need my next appointment in 2 weeks.

Oh and the doctor prescribed me Gaviscon for my heartburn, on prescription = free so even if it just takes the edge off that's a good thing.

Thank you for supporting me yesterday when I was "in limbo" over all of this!!

HUGS and prayers. My water breaks at the beginning of labor.. without the baby's head being engaged (obviously, as Emerson was high up and refused to descended).. so yeah, the head not being engaged means little about when!

I hope you get to rest and feel much better over the next few days.

Same happened to me Terri, my water broke and Daniel wasn't anywhere near engaged - his feet were still up in my ribs someplace and he was still at -4 station when I was first examined so not even in my pelvic region! At least this baby has definitely done some dropping and is in the right area!

Im glad you have some answers and some aids to make it thru the next couple of weeks til baby comes.

Hope you have a nice goodbye time with your kids and Im glad you are confident in the person taking over til year end and you wont have to worry about that anymore.

Hopefully the iron and Gaviscon stuff help and you can be well rested for when the 22nd comes and you have baby.

Im glad youre getting to rest and that you and baby are doing alright. I do hope you get to actually relax and get prepared. I am hoping for this weekend still!

My mum no longer thinks this weekend now she knows baby's head isn't engaged, but I don't know. It's putting a lot of pressure on my pelvic region. I've had twinges in that area and a persistent ache that comes and goes (like period pain) low in my tummy this afternoon, as well as back ache.
