I didn't realize people planned their trees this much!!
I don't know if we'll do a real tree this year, I don't think we have a tree holder thingy
We do have a nice fake one though, that is already pre-lit with white lights It was my parent's for a little bit.
We don't normally do a color scheme... Just put whatever decorations we have on. The first year we bought red balls though, so we kind of attempted to color-cordinate a bit... We got blue and silver I think after, then we have little figurine ones
We've got a nice fake tree from last year. We'll add lights and a star. I've done red and white the last couple years and will probably use the same things as I imagine I'll have my hands full by then.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my awesome siggy!
I am peace, full of unconditional love. I am confident and in tune with the Divine, receptive to guidance.
We use the same fake one every year, I have a funny little moral objection to real trees, especially in Australia as pines are not native, and a few of our native animal species now feed on them and it is making them sick. Also I am a bit of a secret greenie and the idea of growing a tree for the purpose of cutting it down for a short term decoration doesn't sit right with me.
Our tree is a realistic looking one, and a mish mash of all decorations.
What are you planning this year? Real or plastic? Real
If real, what type and size, eg scots pine, fraser fir, norway spruce, nordmann etc? and why? 3-4 foot if I can get it, it's going to sit on a table in the window. I want a fraser fir or norway spruce, they are more like the trees we had when I was a child, and I find the nordmanns rubbish for needle drop even though they're supposed to be the best for retaining needles, they smell as well.
Colour scheme or random? Colour scheme this year as we're having a small tree and only using the "posh" ornaments - purple, blue, silver, pink, white.
