Similar to last week we are going to collect facts about a winter festival...this time, Yule, otherwise known as winter solstice.

You may not copy and paste, you must write each fact in your own words.

You may only post 10 facts at a time, then wait for someone else to post some before you can go again. No double posting.

They may be things you already know yourself or from your reading, or you may wish to search the web. (Again, it may be in your interests to bookmark any links for a later challenge).

It's a point per fact. Enjoy!!

Yule is the celebration of Winter coming.
Odin would leave candy in childrens' shoes that were placed outside.

Refernces to Yule in language can be trace back to the 4th Century.
It is a celebration of the Winter Solstice that originated in Northern European Countries.
It has also been linked tot he celebration of the Wild Hunt.
The celebration has historically included a meal and gifts.
