When you're praying or wishing for something, what if your prayer or wish isn't granted?

Do you adjust the wording of your prayer or wish in case it's not clear or so that you're asking for something slightly different?

Do you stop asking for that particular prayer or wish and come back to it at another time?

Why do YOU think some prayers and wishes are granted and some are not?

I have learned recently to only pray for something once, and then to immediately move from prayer to living from the end (as if it's mine already).. so no, I try not to go from a different angle ..I TRY (it's a practice) to trust that the prayer was not granted because there is something better suited for me and my purpose here on Earth coming along that this wish might interfere with.

I always try and be specific when it happens but Im also very much one of those who talks to the Divine as I would talk to anyone because its internal...they are a part of me and me of them.

I dont get upset if nothing happens because I realize sometimes the answer has to be no and sometimes I havent put enough effort into the wish/prayer myself and its got to be a balance imho.

I probably do put the prayer/wish aside for another time but havent really thought about it enough to give a complete answer LOL.

I think if something doesnt happen then you need to reevaluate your imput into making it happen as well as whats being learned through the process and all that jazz.

I pray and ask for something a couple of times and then move on. I didn't always do that though. From the time of my miscarriage, Feb. 1997, until I was told I was pregnant, Feb. 2007, I asked, begged, and prayed about being a mom.
