When we built our media stand, I took over the top of it, for things that mean the most to us (Reme's added a few things).

On the left is the first framed photo of DH and I. That was taken at the cave park we bought my tree at. Hanging on that, is a necklace that contains a small amount of my dad's ashes. In front of that are two seashells, from my home province. One is ours, one is Remes. Behind one is a rock, just a rock that Reme picked up and wanted put there.. his name is Rocky, and he has a girlfriend named Rockalina . In front are two elephants. The one on the left is made of marble, we purchased it on the trip we got married at, and it holds our wedding rings. The one on the right is a spirit animal, made of domolite and holds my engagement ring, we picked it up at a little shop you'd all go bananas for in my hometown called bluestone magik & enchanted crystal... and it's exactly what it says it is. A small seashell from a local lake that Reme added is next to that elephant. Behind the elephants in the wooden box, is a small container of my dad's ashes in a red velvet bag, with a few small seashells from a local beach (local to where I grew up), and some mermaid tears (sea glass) from the same beach. I may have other things in there... I'm not 100% sure. There is a little domolite scorpion (dh is a scorpio) that Reme spotted and insisted I purchase it immediately for his Dad, so I did. The boy praying was something Reme chose for his Great Grandmother's funeral, Grandpa bill insisted I bring it home so Reme would have it. The female angel is something my mom got me for Christmas, and it just seemed to fit. The butter fly is just something given to me years ago by an ex.. and my Dh loved it and refused to let me throw it away regardless of its source.

And then my tree, front and center. You'll notice.. there is a blue and red package. Stucklikeglue gave me what feels like awesome advice. Inside that is an affirmation (modified to be personal) to the Angel Lailah. Some research earlier showed her to be the angel of conception. Written on paper of my favorite color, and tied with a ribbon that Reme gave to me. I will leave it there until I have my next period. Be that in 12 days, or 15 months. I'm going to do this, anytime I need guidance or support, a letter and a ribbon tied into my "Tree of Life". I am also setting aside 20 minute a day for visual mediation. I've never done this before, so I'm sure to bungle it up... but honestly, it cannot hurt to relax myself!

Here's the necklace I mentioned earlier. I know that 3 of the stones are Rose Quartz, they are pink irl.. my camera sucks. There are a set of stones, also pink, but I cannot remember what they are. I assume the clear ones are quartz, but I don't remember

And Sharon's wand from another post made me go searching Ebay. When Dh goes back to work, if I can find one of these, I will own it.

I still need to fully read your post (I have some jobs to do first) but just wanted to say your altar is beautiful.

It looks great! I think the 20 minutes a day will be good for you too. Its really hard, or it was for me, to get started with. I still struggle sometimes. I think that writing your wishes to hang on the tree of life is agreat idea too

I fell asleep in the computer chair doing it this morning, so I'll have to try it again later. Obviously it relaxes me

I'm finding myself doing a replay to Look who's talking in my head when I do it. I'm waiting on DH to take a bath so he's not asking "why are your eyes closed" all the time. lol.

Ashley it doesn't mean it's not working when you fall asleep - keep at it xxx

I love all your little magical items and their meanings. There is such an energy even around your altar itself. And I love the work you're doing with Angel Lailah. You won't bungle it up. It sounds to me like you know exactly what you're doing. And anyway, angels are higher beings. They work from our intentions. You have a pure intent, and if you do manage to do something "wrong" somewhere along the way, they will still work from your intention xxx

You must let us know if you notice any difference in yourself from the meditation, and whether it all ultimately works for you xxx

PS. Rocky and Rockalina...Reme is such a one-off and he has the most amazing wise soul for one so young.

Ashley, please call me Angi as most everyone on here does anyways. I'm on your blended family board I love you alter. I really want to ask df. To take all the kids one weekend so I can really declutter the house and start my own. I received a message (reading) that said I needed to declutter (is that even a word lol) and my good friend Geneva said that every part of your house represents part of your life. That I need to first focus on the weakest area and start there in my house. (She then laughed and said their finances are represented in her house by the closet and everytime she cleans and organises it her husband makes it a mess. She said no wonder why we're in this situation lol)

I delayed making this post because I felt bad I coudln't remember what your name was, and then I realized I may not actually have known even from BF! I won't forget it now

We need to declutter too. Well, we wouldn't have so much clutter if we didn't have so much stuff in a small space! We are both feeling twitchy because of all the clutter.. but neither of us have any energy to do anything about it!

I'm right there with you. We live in a 3 bedroom house that was actually built for a two bedroom so imagine how small it really is. I can't wait to start working and find a new place. I would love just to have a closet. Or a room just for the washer and dryer lol. It's hard during the day bc my almost 14 month old wants to be hanging on to me so most days are me just sweeping dishes and what laundry I can get done lol and then school at night.

we have no excuse for our mess other than laziness unfortunately. we have 1/2 the amt of stuff that was in a 4br home, plus all my belongings.. in a 2br apartment. We don't even have a washer and dryer!

i told him it gets done this week/weekend though.. no more being lazy.
