You were indeed right Sharron, they tried to call me last night to let me know, but unfortunately I wasn't home to receive the call.
They told me when I started my shift today. I didn't make it into one of the 10 positions. It has nothing to do with my work or stats, simply that there were too many seniority employees who wanted to stay, and they of course got first pick.
I cried right then and there when she told me. I so desperately was hoping it would be different news. I just couldn't do it, and I absolutely despise crying in front of people.
It's been a rough day, and I've been teary all day, crying sporadically and I am just so upset.
Thanks for all your thoughts ladies, I'm not sure what I would do without you all.
There are some positives here though:
- They were pleased with your work.
- The experience will look good on your CV and open new doors for you.
- This has to mean something even better is lined up in your future.
You have every right to feel bummed out though. Try to do some fun things for yourself this weekend xxx
