I was in HomeSense tonight looking for pots. I've been trying to get some of my own stuff together to make it easier when I move. Since I have like nothing, which has been suuuuper overwhelming.
Anyways, one of the first things I noticed when I walked into the store was a green ceramic owl. I was like OOOHHHH, I wants. But I waited, it was a little big for me. So I walked around the store and found some sweet oven mits (They say Diva ).
Then as I'm walking aimlessly around, I find a white ceramic owl, a little smaller than the green one. I was like welll... If they have it this size, maybe they have smaller.
AND THEY DID!!! I got to choose between what looked like a Horned Owl and a Barn Owl. I went with the Barn Owl!! So stoked!! HERE ARE THE PICTURES!!!!!!
In his new, rightful spot on my altar. It feels right because he's looking out towards me, like he's watching over me
I have never been able to find one!! So I was super, super excited when I found it and it wasn't ginormous. It truly was meant to be, I mean the only reason I was told about HomeSense was from my dad regarding pots, and it was just spur of the moment, last minute thing to go there. So happy though!!
I bought myself a little owl ornament as a souvenir of a holiday in Greece one year. I think it was the year I went to Kos, but can't remember. They have owls in a lot of the gift shops over there because of the mythological connection with Athena, the goddess of wisdom. The guy in the shop told me the owl would bring me wisdom and insight. I'm sure this is why you've been drawn to the owl, too. You're Pagan, right? Have you looked into the goddess Athena at all?
