Do you ever give "gifts in kind" - favours or offering your time or your skills to someone in place of a bought present?

How has it been received?

Would you prefer a bought present or a gift in kind?

I dont think I ever have.
I dont know how it would be recieved but I dont think it would be poorly received by my friends. Kids would be a different story however LOL.

Id prefer a gift if its my birthday...I dont get to open stuff anymore and I really still get a kick out of doing so. Other holidays Id prefer someone use their money for their families or to give to a local food bank or the like.

I've never given that, no.. however, I've never had it to give. Now that I do, I might.. but the card/certificate/presentation would be pretty so that the joy of opening could still be experienced... I'm like Hill, I love to open things.

I'm not sure what service I would give as a gift, well except to my honey.
