Dom, Kane's son, was on the trampoline earlier today and fell off. He smashed his little head off the concrete and had blood everywhere. It was all down his face and all over his shirt.
We took him to the hospital and called his mom on the way to so she could meet us there. We finally get him all set up, he's had the freezing gel on his eyebrow for the 30 minutes.
Then, the doctor starts sticking the needle with the freezing into his gash, now... I've never seen someone get stitches and this was terrifying! His gash tripled in size while the needle was being stuck in and then Dom started screaming. Well, his mommy started to look pale so I told her to sit down. Next thing I know she's passed out.
I rush over to get her into my arms. Now... Being a mommy my first instinct is to rock So this poor woman came to in the arms of her ex-husband's girlfriends arm . And I was rocking and stroking her arm Poor thing was so embarrassed.
Dom's fine now. Back to his old self. Just has a swollen eye and it's already starting to bruise. He's gonna have a decent little shiner on him. He did good though, they had the option of putting him under and Kane and his ex opted not to. If it was Nevaeh, I would have had to, there's no way she would have stayed as still as Dom did.
6 stitches on the outside and two or three on the inside.
He did so good. I mean, he obviously cried when it happened, but when we were waiting for the doctor I gave him my phone to play with and he was fine. Then after the screaming and stitches... BAM. Fine He's a trooper that's for sure.
It's the type of person I am. I would have done it for anyone let alone my boyfriend's ex-wife She seemed better about it once she had some time to cool off.
The little guy is doing good. We gave him some Tylenol last night to help him sleep and he got up this morning and crawled into bed with Kane. So I'd say he's doing alright. He's back to his normal jumpy self, which makes us all nervous since we're terrified he'll hit his head. Which is gonna kill. We put the net on the trampoline last night, and Kane is so nervous about any kid going on it ever again. Even though I've tried to explain to him that you can't stop kids from being kids. If it wasn't the trampoline and stitches, it could have been the ATV he's getting for his birthday and a broken arm.
